Star Engineering are experts in rebuilding and refurbishing life expired or crash damaged radiators. If it is a case of your not cooling, leaking or physical damage, Star Engineering can rebuild your radiator.
When rebuilding radiators, Star Engineering insist on completely dismantling the whole radiator and renewing every joint. While some of our competitors may offer to simply fit a new core, years of experience has shown us that often old radiators have dry solder joints which would leak. Such leaks in old and corroded solder joints are impossible to repair properly without dismantling the joint.
At the start of the rebuild, we will photograph the radiator and make detailed drawings and take patterns to allow the radiator to be accurately reassembled. During the rebuild we will completely dismantle the radiator, cleaning and repairing or replacing the parts as necessary. The shell is polished and dents and other imperfections removed. A new radiator core is then manufactured to fit the shell and fitted. The radiator is then given a cold and hot water leak test and painted before being returned to the delighted customer!
