At Star Engineering we manufacture in house film and tubular honeycomb cores for our own radiators and to supply to other radiator restorers. In a film core individual envelopes of corrugated copper foil manufactured and then stacked together to produce the completed core. A tubular honeycomb core consists of thousands of small brass tubes, each one cut to length and the end flared. The tubes are then stacked and dipped in solder.

Our tubular cores are available in a continuous range of thicknesses and sizes. We stock a range of square and round tubes and can punch a variety of patterns. Our film cores are available in thicknesses typically ranging from 50 mm to 100 mm in 5 mm increments. Based on the customer requirements, we can manufacture flat cores, curved cores or vee-cores in rectangular blocks or shaped.
